HYDERABAD: Andhra Pradesh Forensic Science Laboratory has retrieved data from two high capacity hard disks seized from the residence of terror suspect in the foiled UK car bombings, Kafeel Ahmed.

"We have recovered all the hidden and deleted data from the disks and have put it in two CDs. We will send the CDs to Bangalore police on August 27 for further investigation," APFSL Director O Narasimha Murthy said on Tuesday.

Kafeel Ahmed succumbed to burns in a Glasgow hospital early this month.

Refusing to divulge contents of the CDs, he said, "We can't say whether it is anti-national or not, it is for police to probe."

"We had received two hard disks of 120 GB capacity and some video clippings in Urdu. After analysing and examination of the material, we made two CDs incorporating the retrieved data," Murthy said.

APFSL, a premier forensic science laboratory in the country, had handled about 19400 cases including 300 cases referred by other states last year, the Director said.
