Snap poll inevitable: Akalis

LUDHIANA: Mid-term election to the Lok Sabha is inevitable, SAD Secretary General and former Union Minister Sukhdev Singh Dhindsa said here on Sunday.

The Congress and the Left had irreconciliable differences on the Indo-US civil nuclear deal and this would lead to snap poll in the country, he said.

Echoing similar views, SAD leader Kanwaljit Singh said his party would contest the mid-term poll as part of the NDA.

Singh, Cooperative Minister in the Punjab government, alleged the UPA could not provide a stable government to the country as it was a divided house right from day one.
