LONDON: Sania Mirza and her Israeli partner Shahar Peer's second round women's doubles tennis match was suspended due to rain at the Wimbledon Grand Slam on Monday.
Mirza and Peer was leading over Agnes Szavay of Hungary and Vladimira Uhlirova of Czech Republic 6-4, 4-3 (40-40) when rain forced interruption late on Monday.
The 16th seeded Indo-Israeli is expected to resume the play after 11 am local time today at court 9.
They defeated Sofia Arvidsson of Sweden and Lilia Osterloh of the USA 7-5 6-3 in a first round encounter on Saturday.
