LONDON: Bollywood distribution major Eros International is expected to announce expansion plans worth 250 million pounds this week to convert it into a global media empire, reports said on Monday.
The company, headed by Kishore Lulla, is listed on the Alternative Investment Market.
The company has reportedly earmarked nearly 250 million pounds for acquisitions and investments in partnerships that will embrace new distribution channels and help promote its content to a much larger international audience.
'The Telegraph' reported on Monday that the company was also expected to announce its deal with OnCommand, a US hotel-based video-on-demand service that will give it access to millions of potential viewers.
The report added that the company has struck partnership deals with RTL, the European broadcaster and YouTube.
