Video of missing British girl to be broadcast today

PRAIA DA LUZ (PORTUGAL): A video with images of a four-year-old British girl who went missing in Portugal over two weeks ago is expected to be seen by millions of people around the world later on Saturday.

The two-minute video of Madeleine McCann set to the soundtrack of the Simple Minds hit "Don't You Forget About Me" will be broadcast during halftime of the FA Cup final
between Chelsea and Manchester United at London's revamped Wembley stadium.

Roughly 90,000 people are expected to attend the match which is expected to have a worldwide television audience of 450 million viewers in 160 countries, according to England's Football Association.

Madeleine disappeared on May 3 after her parents left her, and her brother and sister both aged two, alone at their hotel at a resort in Praia da Luz in Portugal's Algarve
region, a top European sunshine destination, while they went to a nearby restaurant.

Her parents Kate and Gerry attended a vigil on Friday at a small beachside church at Praia da Luz to pray for her return. The couple have become frequent visitors to the church since their daughter disappeared.

Father Paul Seddon, who married the couple and baptised Madeleine, presided over the services which were attended by some 200 people.

"We are united in our anxiety and our fear but we are united as well in our hope," he told the congregation.

"All of us want Madeleine back and that is why we are here, to pray that that happens," he added.
