TEHRAN: After an unscheduled overnight halt leaving about 125 passengers fretting and fuming at the airport here, the Turkish Airlines flight to Mumbai left for its destination on Saturday morning.
The passengers of the TA-1074 flight were forced to pass a harried night at the international airport here after the plane made an emergency landing due to an electrical problem on Friday night.
The passengers disembarked at the Tehran airport but were not allowed to check in to a hotel due to visa issues.
The plane that took off at 1900 hrs (Istanbul time) last night made the unscheduled halt after two-and-a-half hours of flight.
The pilot, R Cecil, said the landing was due to some electrical problem that the plane had developed.
