Chetan Hansraj on playing baddie once again in ‘Virrudh’ and learning to play the guitar.

Chetan Hansraj, who’s set to stand against the protagonists once again as Rudraksh Raisinghaniya in Smriti Irani’s ‘Viruddh’, is relishing the opportunity.

Chetan elaborates saying, “The fun in playing Rudraksh is that he cannot be slotted as a bad or a good guy. He is not bad, just for the sake of it. He acts mean only to avenge the embarrassment that his father is subjected to. That is what makes it interesting.”

However, ask him about playing positive characters and he explains, “What’s the fun in playing a simple romantic lead who does nothing but keeps smiling all through the episode? I love playing someone whose entry is awaited. I am interested in playing positive roles only if they are such tough-guy ones.”

Chetan, whose second film ‘Bhram’ is up for release shortly is open about the fact that though he loves films, he will never leave television courtesy a steady income and constant exposure. “I was at my gym one day, when John Abraham told me that I have taken a very wise decision in balancing out both the mediums. He accepted that he has been plain lucky to have made it big in this industry but it’s a tough job to make it big here,” says Chetan who after a stint with ‘Fear Factor’ is looking forward to doing another reality show.

Till he gets to tap his feet, Chetan is busy learning the guitar. “Lavinia’s nephew has got me hooked onto learning the guitar through a software programme and I’m currently getting my fingers cut strumming through the notes. But hey! I am enjoying it thoroughly,” smiles Chetan.
