UJJAIN: Key witnesses in the Professor Sabharwal murder case are turning hostile one by one and in a major setback to the prosecution, two more witnesses turned hostile on Tuesday, a day after the court declared two out of the seven witnesses hostile.

Librarian of Madhav College Govind Kushwaha and BJP leader Sanwar Patel, who were interrogated by the CID along with nine other people, have refused to identify the culprits. On Monday, peon Komal Singh and sports teacher Manohar Dodia turned hostile and refused to identify those arrested by the CID for allegedly murdering Sabharwal in 2006, after the cancellation of the college union polls.

Both Singh and Dodia told the court that although they had seen some people manhandling the professor, they are unable to identify them.

Singh said that he had rushed towards Sabharwal soon after some people started manhandling him. But since the professor fell down, he could not identify anybody in the rush, as he was involved in lifting and helping Sabharwal.
