Having quit ‘Karam Apna Apna’, actor Rajeev Paul now wants to host shows

Rajeev Paul, who was last seen in Balaji Telefilms ‘Karam Apna Apna’ (Star Plus), is taking it easy. It’s been more than two months since he opted out of the soap. He insists that he is still on very good terms with Ektaa Kapoor. He says, “I consider myself privileged to have worked with Ektaa. I left the show on good terms and Ektaa understands my reasons for doing so.”

For now, Rajeev is in no hurry to take up just any soap. Rather the actor is keen to be himself on the small screen. He reveals, “I would love to host a show of my own. I enjoy interacting with a live audience. There is so much that you can learn from people.” Rajeev, who has anchored two shows of ‘Nach Baliye’ in the past adds, “The response to the show was amazing. I thoroughly enjoyed myself.”

He jokes, “While I have missed out on anchoring ‘Kaun Banega Crorepati’ (Star Plus), I hope to host ‘Kaun Banega Lakhpati’. It’s okay to give away lakhs, not crores!”

Coming back to the actor’s new found passion to anchor a show, Rajeev states confidently, “I have a gut feeling that something big is going to happen soon.”
