AHMEDABAD: A post-Godhra riot accused was seriously injured when two other inmates allegedly attacked him inside the Sabarmati Central jail, police said on Saturday.
Kamlesh Rathod, an accused in a post-Godhra riot case, was attacked by two other inmates Badshah and Yusuf alias Chakhli outside barrack number four of the jail.
The attack happened after an altercation over a bathing-related matter, police said adding that Kamlesh suffered stomach, hand and thigh injuries and was rushed to the civil hospital.
The attackers have been booked for attempted murder and a complaint in this regard has been lodged at the Sabarmati police station.
