JERUSALEM: Israel on Tuesday night said it will cooperate with India in any investigation into the alleged corruption in the Rs 1,150 crore Barak missile deal with a firm of that country during the previous National Democratic Alliance rule in 2000.
"The Israeli Defence Ministry and the Israeli defence industries will cooperate with India in any investigation," Defence Ministry spokesperson Rachel Niedak Ashkenazi said here.
The Central Bureau of Investigation has registered a first information report against former defence minister George Fernandes, his associate Jaya Jaitley, accused of receiving a bribe of Rs 2 crore, and former Navy chief Admiral Sushil Kumar for alleged irregularities in purchasing the Barak missile system.
