BASRA: A car bomb exploded near a petrol station in the southern Iraqi city of Basra on Friday killing at least 10 people, police said.
A Reuters cameraman at the scene said he saw several bodies.
Prime Minister Nuri al-Maliki last month declared a state emergency in Basra, Iraq's second largest city, which has been gripped by violence.
