MUMBAI: Parts of the city on Monday received isolated rainfall, providing a respite to people from heat, Meteorological Department sources said.
    
"Isolated rains were recorded in some areas of the city and suburbs," the sources said.
 
The weather in the next 24 hours will be mainly cloudy with chances of rain or thundershowers, they said.
 
The maximum temperature recorded at Colaba was 33.3 Celsius while at Santa Cruz it was 32.6 Celsius.
    
Meteorological Department Regional Deputy Director General CVV Bhadram said Monday's rain was a local development and not due to any depression.
