Actor Rani Mukerji’s bonding with the physically challenged children of the Helen Keller Institute was not limited only to the days she shot for Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s ‘Black’. The actor, as Michelle, drew inspiration from them and “feels complete” in their company.

The kids organised a birthday party for Rani. She pledged their support for them as she cut her birthday cake .

Beroz Vacha, director of the institute, says, “Rani knows that the hands of these children are their eyes; she allowed them to touch her and hold her hands during the party.”

Student Mary gifted Rani with a handmade bead necklace and earrings. The others gifted her handmade candles and a card signed by all. The actor shared a piece of cake with all of them.

The ‘Jabardast Janamdin’ celebration titled ‘Roshni ka Jashn’ will be aired tonight at 8pm on Star Gold.
