Choice registration numbers available at RTO

The Pune Regional Transport Office (RTO) is starting a new series of vehicle registration numbers for four-wheelers.

Citizens who wish to select numbers of their choice for their vehicles may submit an application at the RTO between 11 am and 2.30 pm on Saturday.

The documents required for the process are address proof, photo identity, Pan card and a demand draft in favour of ‘RTO Pune’ issued by any nationalised or scheduled bank.

If there is more than one applicant for any registration number, a list of such numbers will be displayed on the RTO notice board at 10.30 am on Monday.

The applicants may submit their demand draft and identity proof in a sealed envelope for the auction before 4 pm. The number will be sanctioned to the highest bidder at 4.30 pm on the same day and no changes or refunds will be made.
