“Factionalism within the party will not be tolerated at any cost and anyone found indulging in it will face the music,” warned Shiv Sena executive president, Uddhav Thackeray.

He was addressing party workers on Friday at Ankush Landge auditorium in Bhosari, after inaugurating various developmental projects initiated by Sena MP, Shivaji Adhalrao-Patil, under the MP fund.

Sena MPs Gajanan Babar, Adhalrao Patil, Shiv Sena spokesperson Neelam Gorhe and party corporators were present.
Thackeray said that it is the responsibility of the party MPs to win the Pune and Pimpri Chinchwad Municipal Corporation (PCMC) elections.

“They have to ensure that the party wins maximum number of seats in the municipal elections and for that they should forget their conflicts,” he suggested. He stressed on the need for the party leaders and workers to remain united during elections.

“Although NCP and Congress have conflicts, they join hands and win the polls forgetting their bitter rivalries,” he remarked. The party MPs, meanwhile, denied having any issues between them and assured that during the polls, they would work in tandem.

Thackeray also said that the ruling NCP in PCMC is responsible for the corruptions prevailing in the civic body. He demanded a CID inquiry into all the scams that have taken place in the PCMC.
