Symbiosis law alumni remember lost friend

Students of Symbiosis Law School on Sunday recalled their friendship and association with Rajeev Agarwala, a student of the institution who died in the German Bakery blast last year.

Students of Symbiosis Law School on Sunday recalled their friendship and association with Rajeev Agarwala, a student of the institution who died in the German Bakery (GB) blast last year.

The occasion was the alumni meet of the institution held at Vishwabhavan on Senapati Bapat Road and attended by over 100 ex-students. Rajeev was the one of the 17 who lost their lives in the terror attack at the eatery on February 13 last year.

Rajeev’s batch mates admitted they missed their “dear friend”. Sumeet Singh, who too was injured in the blast but survived, told DNA, “We still miss him. He was good at studies and used to be in the forefront of all activities. But god has snatched him away from us. We have even stopped visiting the area.”

Sumeet said some of Rajeev’s friends have started a scholarship in his namer, under which a student of the institution from an economically weak family would be get assistance of Rs20,000 annually.
