Superstar Shah Rukh Khan who has been under attack from Shiv Sena for his views on inclusion of Pakistani players in IPL-3, returned home today after a globe-trotting mission to promote his film 'My Name Is Khan' which releases on February 12.

He was accompanied by co-star Kajol, director and co-producer of the film Karan Johar.

They arrived by a British Airways flight here amidst tight security arrangements at the airport.

The trio was in Berlin at the International Film Festival yesterday for the screening of the film.

Shiv Sena threatened to disrupt the release of the film next week until the actor, who is the co-owner of Kolkata Knight Riders, issues an apology for lamenting the absence of Pakistani players in the IPL and unwillingness of the IPL franchisees to buy them.

However, the actor refused to apologise and posted tweets on the social networking site Twitter saying that he was being targeted.

"Sad my statements are seen as a stand against a group instead of a stand for myself and my individuality," he wrote.

Another tweet read, "Differences in ideology should be grounds for debate and discussions a must for freedom of thought. To see it another way is so unfortunate."

Shah Rukh Khan is slated to meet the media in the evening where he will participate in a brand endorsement campaign.
