Proposal of free Pune parivahan passes for standard XI, XII students

The women and child welfare committee said parents are facing problems due to rising inflation. Hence, it was decided to provide free passes.

The women and child welfare committee (WCWC) of the Pune Municipal Corporation (PMC) on Wednesday passed a resolution to provide free passes of Pune Mahanagar Parivahan Mahamandal Limited (PMPML) to students of standard XI and XII in the city.

WCWC chairperson Megha Babar told DNA that the PMC provides free passes of PMPML to students studying till standard X. A proposal was tabled in the committee to provide free passes to higher secondary students and it was passed unanimously. Now, the proposal would be sent to the general body (GB) for ratification.

She said parents are facing problems due to rising inflation. Hence, it was decided to provide free passes.
