Nalasopara man kills wife, two-year-old daughter

In a shocking incident, a man from Nalasopara killed his wife and two-year-old daughter by slitting their throats. The police arrested the man on Thursday.

The man has been identified as Chandrakant Vasant Ahire, 35.

He stayed at the Mhatre chawl in Bilalpada, Nalasopara (East).
According to the police, Chandrakant was staying with his wife Sanchita, 25, and their two-year-old daughter Vaishnavi.

Chandrakant used to fight a lot with his wife as he suspected that she was cheating on him. He accused her of having an extra marital affair with a man from the locality.

On Thursday afternoon, he called Sanchita characterless and started fighting with her. When Sanchita tried to retaliate, Chandrakant lost his temper and slit her throat with kitchen knife. After killing her he also killed his daughter Vaishnavi by slitting her throat.

Shriram Koregaonkar, senior police inspector of Nalasopara police station said, “We arrested Chandrakant on Thursday. We seized the murder weapon, the kitchen knife, from the spot.”
Koregaonkar added that Chandrakat will be produced in court on Friday.
