Mumbai rain: Landslide near Haji Ali kills one, injures 3

The deceased has been identified as plumber Rama Maruti Suke, 22, plumber, while Mohd. Shamin, 23, also plumber was injured. Manoj Kumar Mishra, 24, who was in the car is also injured.

A person died and three others were injured in the landslide caused by heavy rains near Haji Ali in central Mumbai this afternoon.

According to Disaster Management Cell of Municipal Corporation of Greater Mumbai, landslide took place near Halad View building, next to Heera Panna shopping centre, at 1.15pm.

The deceased has been identified as plumber Rama Maruti Suke, 22, plumber, while Mohd. Shamin, 23, also plumber was injured.
Manoj Kumar Mishra, 24, who was in the car is also injured.

"A person died and three others who have been injured are at Sion hospital," an official said.

A portion of a house wall collapsed at Abdul Wahab Chawl in Qureshi Nagar in suburban Kurla at around 1.30pm, but nobody was injured.
