Builder Yusuf Lakdawala, usually in news for his lavish parties with a guest list to show off, has at last caught attention for a wrong reason after actress Sadhna filed a case against him alleging that he was trying to pressurise her to vacate her house in Santa Cruz.

Now, Lakdawala has been caught on the wrong foot again as the Enforcement Directorate (ED) had issued him summons in connection with Hasan Ali Khan’s money laundering case.

Lakdawala, who is reportedly a friend and business associate of
Ali, was questioned by the ED officials till late on Wednesday. He has been reportedly named by Ali in his statement. It is not clear as to what was his exact role in the alleged tax evasion scam by Ali. Sources said that the former is known to be good friend of Ali and will throw light on several issues.

“The police during its investigations of the fake passport case against Ali had given a report saying Ali had managed to avoid arrest for three to four months by staying at the bungalow of Lakdawala in Madh Islands,” said a source.

Meanwhile, tired of the adjournments over his bail, Ali has planned to move the Bombay high court. “We may move application on Friday,” said his lawyer IP Bagadia.
