A family from Borivli has moved the Bombay high court against additional commissioner (north) Ramrao Pawar. Pawar will have to be present in the HC  on August 29 to answer the grievances of the Gohil family.

In a writ petition, the family alleged Pawar has taken sides with the culprit, Vidyadhar Patil, who had allegedly used goons to ransack their flat at Benzer Towers at Borivli (west) in April. The Gohils had bought the flat from Patil in January, 2010.

“The goons not just damaged our furniture but also robbed gold and other belongings worth over Rs20 lakh on April 6. The accused have been keeping us under house arrest with some or the other relative of theirs sitting inside our house boasting close relations with Pawar,” said Tejas Gohil on Tuesday.

While Pawar denied all allegations, the petition appeals the court to issue notice to him. It has also pleaded the court to direct the commissioner of police to take disciplinary action against Pawar.
