From getting guidance on technical, practical and statutory issues related to redevelopment, to scouting for the best deal for their respective buildings, the exhibition gave the visitors — mostly chairpersons and office bearers of housing societies — a chance to meet the best names in the business.
Leading developers like Acme Group, Damji Shamj Shah Group, Heena Group, Rustomjee, Sheth Corp, Supreme Universal, Tata Housing and Vardhman Group showcased their portfolio of redevelopment projects executed by them in the past, and presented their case for executing new projects.
“It was a good chance for us to meet the reputed builders and get professional advice on how to go about choosing the proper developer,” said Bharat Doshi, secretary of a Mahim society, adding that every society that’s considering going for redevelopment should make good use of the platform provided by DNA, instead of succumbing to unrealistic offers from dubious developers who could leave them in the lurch.
On their part, the developers were only too happy to meet the quality number of potential project-partners.
“The exhibition has given us an excellent opportunity to meet with the representatives of housing societies, to interact with them and understand their needs and to pave the way for future tie-ups,” said Ashwin Sheth, Chairman and MD, Sheth Corp, adding that events like these go a long way in building confidence among all the stakeholders.
