DK Rao ‘bashes’ up Dawood aide in Arthur Rd Jail

Inmates of the Arthur Road prison witnessed a never-before scene earlier this week. According to sources, key member of Chhota Rajan gang, DK Rao, currently lodged in the high-security cell, allegedly bashed up Zanzeb Khan alias Guddu Pathan, an aide of the D-company and Dawood’s relative.

DK Rao, facing MCOCA charges, is arguably the ‘undisputed leader of the jail’, said sources. For any high-profile prisoner to ‘survive’ in prison, it is important to pay protection money, they added.

DK demanded Rs5 lakh as protection money which Zanzeb failed to cough up, they said. The drama, which lasted for about 30 minutes, ended when jail officials rushed to separate the two gangsters. Sources said that Zanzeb was having a tough time coping up with the mean environs of the prison.

Zanzeb was arrested last month in an attempt to murder case. He had allegedly attacked Danish Patel, a former D-company aide, in Shivaji Park.
