Vakola police on Tuesday registered a case of robbery against three persons for  robbing an army personnel at a knife point. The accused snatched away his mobile phone and his identity card, which was later recovered. 

The accused also confined the victim inside a room for three hours and made him sign a paper in which it was written that he owes Rs1.5 lakh to one of the accused Jugnu Tribhuvan Singh.

Man attacks wife with a sickle
A 45-year-old man on Monday attacked his wife with a sickle in Malad (East) because he suspected that she was having an extra marital affair.

She is recuperating in ICU at Bhagwati hospital.
According to police, the victim, Shubhangi Shetty, 40, who works in private company at Malad (east) was residing in Andheri with her two children and her mother.

Shetty and her husband, Ramesh who married 10 year ago were both residing at Mira Road. However, around four to five months ago duo had started residing separately and had filed a divorce petition.

On Monday, Ramesh called his wife to meet him at Malad (east) where a argument started between them over the custody of the children. Then Ramesh got angry and attacked her with a sickle.

Developer held for cheating buyers
Goregaon East police have arrested a private developer, Jagat Parekh, 58, for selling flats to several people and allegedly cheated them to the tune of Rs more than 3 crores.

Twenty-two people approached  the police alleging that they have purchased flats in 11-storied Alakhjyote building, which is located at Aarey colony in Goregaon (east) but later they found that the same flats had been sold to other people.
