Bereaved family members of murdered student Anuj Bidve on Tuesday said that they plan to depart soon for the United Kingdom to bring back his body at the earliest.
Anuj's sister, Suruchi Bidve, said that it was their top priority to travel to UK and get his body back to India.
"The police officers had come here, as you all saw, and they have just left. The greater Manchester police have given their statement and that's all we know. We all have also updated you last night, that's all we know for now also. The family soon will be travelling to UK to get Anuj back, but that's all we have right now. My only request to you is beyond this, until Anuj comes back, we have nothing else to discuss," Suruchi Bidve told the media here.
"When Anuj (dead body of Anuj Bidve) will be back, the details about that we will be emailing it to all of you so that you all know when he will be back," she added.
Two officers from the Greater Manchester Police met the Bidve family at their Pune residence earlier in the day and promised action against the guilty.
Anuj Bidve, a post-graduate student at the Lancaster University, was shot dead on December 26 when he was walking down the street in Salford near Manchester with a group of Indian friends.
