35-yr-old killed in hit-and-run in Pune

In a hit-and-run case, a 35-year-old pedestrian was killed near Chaitraban Society in Bibvewadi on Saturday.

The deceased has been identified as Vijaykumar Devramani, a resident of the housing society. Police constable Rajendra Rokade has lodged a complaint against the rider of the Honda Activa scooter (MH-12-E-2164) with the Sahkarnagar police.

According to the police, “The deceased was returning home from his morning walk on Saturday around 9.30 am when the two-wheeler hit the victim and fled the spot. The suspect did not even inform the police about the incident. But a citizen noted the vehicle’s number and we will make an arrest soon.”
