Mercury set to rise over next 2 days in Mumbai

Even as Mumbaikars experienced the maximum temperatures rising by almost two degrees in a day, the weatherman claims that the city is likely to witness further rise in temperature in the next two days.

On Tuesday, the maximum temperature recorded at Santacruz was 35.6 degree Celsius while at Colaba it was 34.2 degree Celsius. Meanwhile, due to extreme heat and line of wind discontinuity areas around Mumbai including Badlapur, Mumbra and other locations saw downpour on Tuesday that brought temporary relief from severe heat, similar rains were reported from the Ghat area too.

IMD officials stated that as per the warning issued of thunderstorms in interior Maharashtra several areas including parts of Vidharbha, Marathwada and even Raigad and Konkan have been witnessing isolated rain.
