Improve train services on Trans-Harbour line

Recently, after remoulding of tracks in between Mulund and Thane, the Central Railway has started a direct train service from Mumbai Chhatrapati Shivaji Terminus (CST) to Panvel via (Thane) Trans- Harbour railway line.

The Central Railway is planning to run these services only during mega block, between Kurla and Mankhurd on Sundays. But, I request the railway authorities to run these services on regular basis.

If difficult during peak time during morning and evening hours, then the railway must at least run a few selected services at lean time i.e. during afternoon time. They can be started from where Thane local (i.e. CST-Thane) ends. The same service can be extended either up to Panvel or else till Nerul.

This will help commuters from Trans-Harbour railway (Vashi/Panvel-Thane) line as they will have direct train connectivity to Ghatkopar, Kurla, Dadar and CST.

Even once metro train starts from Ghatkopar to Versova, Andheri, residents of Trans-Harbour section can take proper benefit of these service too. Otherwise, this section will always remain like this, old rakes will ply, thanks to the step-motherly treatment.
