NRI investors keen in Bihar's food processing sector: Industries Minister Shyam Rajak

Indians living abroad have shown keen interest to invest in Bihar's food processing sector, state Industries Minister Shyam Rajak said on Friday.

Rajak, who led a delegation of Industry bodies from Bihar to Johannesburg to take part in SAITEX (South Africa International Trade Exhibition), said that people showed particular interest in processing of Litchi, according to a statement issued here.

Many showed keenness in maize too, he said adding that more than 900 companies from 45 countries participated in the exhibition.

The minister said that the delegation held meetings with investors in South Africa to whom they told about policies in the state and positive conditions for investment.

Rajak said they assured potential investors that land would not be a problem if they come to the state to set up units.
