7th Pay Commission: Use this New Pay Scale calculator to find out your new salary

The government may roll out the pay hikes within the fortnight.

The government is expected to roll out the seventh pay commission soon. The pay hikes for lakhs of central government employees and pensioners may come into effect within the next forthnight. 

This is because, this weekend, April 11, the 7th pay commission panel is going to meet in New Delhi to give the final touches to the recommendations. 

According to media reports, after the final touches are given to the recommendations, it may only takes a few days for the Finance Ministry to roll out the pay hikes.

The Secretaries' group has recommended a wage hike of Rs 21,000 and Rs 2.7 lakh for the lower and upper level, respectively. This is Rs 3,000 more for the lower level and Rs 20,000 more for the upper level prescribed by the 7th CPC.

The wage hikes will impact the salary packages of 47 lakh central government employees and 52 lakh pensioners.

The 7th Pay Commission news website has given a calculator to compute the revised salary and pay package. 

To do this, you will have to follow some simple instructions given by the portal. They are:

-- Enter Your Current (6th CPC) Basic Pay (Band Pay + Grade Pay) and Select Your Pay Band with Grade Pay

-- Select Your Present HRA% and Select your Transport Allowance and also select your city as per the recommendations of 7th CPC

-- Click the ‘Calculate’ button to get your 7th CPC Revised Basic Pay, Matrix Level, Index Level, Revised amount of HRA, Revised amount of Travelling Allowance and the Total Revised Pay per month as per the recommendations of 7th Pay Commission.
