Scheduled to hit the Clinique stores in Indian markets this August at retail prices of `4,500 (30ml) and `6,500 (50ml), is Clinique’s Smart Custom-Repair Serum, which “reads your skin, understands the signals it is sending and repairs it automatically”. This potent concoction of calming and highly active ingredients, formulated after five years of research is touted to work well for all skin types, yet treat the issues specific to yours. There are 37 patents backing this custom repair formula; though how it performs tasks reminiscent of artificial intelligence remains a mystery. A twelve week study of the nonallergenic serum suitable for all skin types, ages and ethnicities reported visible improvement in uneven skin tone, dark spots, dullness, lines and wrinkles and firming.
