Vijay Darda, Avinash Pande file nomination for Rajya Sabha poll

Congress candidate Vijay Darda and Avinash Pande today filed nominations here for June 17th Rajya Sabha elections.

Both Darda and Pande, accompanied by supporters, filed the nomination papers before state legislature principle secretary Anant Kalase, who is also the returning officer for the election.

Maharashtra chief minister Ashok Chavan, MPCC chief Manikrao Thakre, industries minister Rajendra Darda and several other legislators were present on the occasion.

Today was the last date for filing the nominations.
