Youth coming from Nepal into Uttar Pradesh will be extensively screened and religious places along the Indo-Nepal border closely monitored amid intelligence reports that terrorists organisations in Pakistan are using the route to send trained ultras into the country.

"Terrorist organisations may send trained youths from Nepal through the long and porous border in a bid to create discord in the country. A strict vigil has to be maintained and the youths should be allowed into the country only after a thorough checking," Commandant of the 1st battalion of Shashastra Sena Bal (SSB) Lalit Kumar told PTI.

He said the SSB will also identify religious places along the border in UP as they might have been used as "hideouts by terror organisations, backed by the ISI".

"As per the latest information, these groups are using religious places in the region as hideouts and thus, these places should be put under scanner and any relevant details be forwarded to higher officials from time to time," he said.

He also said that there was information that a force comprising mostly Maoists has been constituted in Nepal and they might enter India to create disturbance.
