Two ULFA militants killed

Nalbari: Two ULFA militants were killed in an encounter with police in Assam's Nalbari district today, official sources said.

The encounter ensued when two motor cycle borne extremists sped up ignoring police signal for a halt and fired at the securitymen on the Tihu-Akhra road under Tihu police station.

In police retaliation, two militants were killed and and two 9mm pistols with six cartridges recovered from them.
