Two more reported dead

Two more were reported dead in the alleged spurious liquor case on Saturday. The bodies, yet to be identified, were found on footpaths in Raikhad and were brought to VS hospital for post-mortem.

Also, four were admitted to the hospital complaining of deteriorating health, allegedly because of consumption of spurious liquor.

However, officially there have been no deaths with reference to the alleged fresh hooch tragedy. A source close to development said that the city witnessed two more deaths in Karanj and Gaikwad Haveli police station areas.

The body of an elderly man was found on a footpath near Harikrupa Complex near Victoria garden. Though the cops refused to disclose the cause of death, a source said he died after consuming spurious liquor. Another body was found near Raikhad crossroads and is yet to be identified.
