Police submitted before the court that the accused are yet to be arrested in connection with the murder of Sobha, one of the victims in the case, as a separate FIR was lodged in this regard.
A Delhi court today remanded in 14 days judicial custody the three accused in the sensational honour killing case in New Delhi.
"The three accused are sent to judicial custody till July 14 on the conclusion of their five-day-long police custody," metropolitan magistrate Satish Kumar said.
Police, meanwhile, submitted before the court that the accused are yet to be arrested in connection with the murder of Sobha, one of the victims in the case, as a separate FIR was lodged in this regard.
The investigators sought permission to quiz the accused Mandeep Nagar, 23, Ankit Chaudhury, 22, and Nakul Khari, 21, for half-an-hour in the court premises in connection with the Sobha murder case.
"We will move an application, if required, to seek their custodial interrogation afresh in the Sobha murder case," police said.
Police informed the court that they have recovered the firearms that were used in the commission of the crime at the instance of the accused.
Police have registered two separate FIRs, one in connection with the murder of 22-year-old Shobha and another for killing of Ankit's sister Monica along with her husband Kuldeep.
Earlier, the court had on June 26 allowed the Delhi police to quiz the accused for five days in custody to enable the investigators to unravel the entire conspiracy.
"It seems that there was a deep rooted conspiracy to eliminate the victims who had married against the wishes of their families. The accused are mere doers and the names, if any of the instigators or the conspirators have to be ascertained," the police had said.
Delhi police had got the custody of the three accused from Dasna jail authorities after a court in New Delhi issued production warrant against them.
The accused were arrested on June 24 by the Uttar Pradesh police from Garhmukteshwar, about 90km from the national capital.
They were on the run after allegedly killing Monica, 24, along with her husband Kuldeep, 26, for marrying outside caste, and Mandeep's 22-year-old sister Shobha, who too had eloped with a man belonging to a different caste.
The three allegedly carried out the murders on June 20 at Ashok Vihar in north-west Delhi as they were said to be angry with their relatives for "sullying" or defiling the honour of their family by marrying outside caste.
