Three electrocuted to death in Delhi

Three persons have been electrocuted to death in separate incidents in New Delhi, police said today.

A 40-year-old man working for a private firm was electrocuted to death this morning in Neb Sarai area of South Delhi, they said.

Police said the deceased, identified as Anand Vijay, was climbing the stairs of his third floor residence in Deoli Extension in Neb Sarai at around 8am when the mishap occurred.

"Anand was coming from the terrace of his building carrying a bucket of water. He accidentally touched a live wire and got electrocuted," said a police official.

Yesterday, a 32-year-old man died after being electrocuted in his house in R K Puram area of South Delhi.

Police said Sajid Alam, a dhaba owner, had got drenched in the rain and was electrocuted when he switched on an electrical appliance in his house.

In yet another incident yesterday, a 32-year-old housewife, Suman Devi, got electrocuted when she came in contact with an uninsulated wire in her washroom.
