Thieves steal Mercedes car, gold ornaments and cash in Kerala

A gang of robbers broke into a house here, stole gold ornaments and cash and drove away in a Mercedes Benz car parked in the premises after tying up the lone woman occupant today.
  
Police said the gang entered the house, threatened the woman, covered her mouth with stickers and robbed ornaments weighing ten sovereigns, Rs20000 and sped away in the car.
  
The house belonged to a Gulf-based businessman and his wife was the only occupant when the robbers struck.
   
Preliminary investigations revealed that the gang members spoke Hindi and English, police said.
