Teenager gang-raped by four youths in Uttar Pradesh

A 16-year-old girl was allegedly gang-raped by four youths in a forest area in the outskirts of Dhaulana town in Ghaziabad, police said today.

The victim was called by two of her female friends who offered her a soft drink mixed with some sedative following which she fell unconscious, police said.

She was then carried by two youths on their motorcycle to a seculded spot where they were joined in by two others who raped the girl, they added.

The medical examination of the girl has confirmed rape, police added.

Meanwhile, the girl's family alleged that their complaint was registered after three days of the incident which took place on April 1 and that too with the intervention of some senior police officials.

A case was registered yesterday at the Dhaulana police station and the investigations in this matter are on, police said.
