While Anna Hazare's campaign against corruption is spreading with intensity across the country, a huge support has come from the education field as well.

Students as well as teachers from different city institutes have come forward in their own way to show their support for the Hazare's anti-corruption drive.

On Tuesday, around 5,000 teachers from Shikshak Bharati Association fasted for a day and university teachers gathered at Azad Maidan in hordes.

On Day Two on Wednesday, university teachers at Azad Maidan were joined by their students. "Around 200 students gathered at Azad Maidan to join us.

Later, demonstrated outside the university gate to show support to Hazare's fight for Jan Lokpal Bill," said prof Vaibhav Narawade, Mumbai University senate member.

Students organisations have  come forward in showing their support. Akhil Bhartiya Vidyarthi Parishad (ABVP) has called for a nationwide college band on Thursday.

"We are working with our volunteers across the country to successfully conduct the nationwide college band," said Amol Patil, from the ABVP.

A 5-km-long human chain was formed by IIT Bombay on Wednesday evening. This was followed by peace march inside the campus.

Dinesh Joshi, a PhD student of IITB, said: "The campus was teeming with students and teachers showing support for Anna's anti-corruption drive."
