Rama Padhi Puhala was picked up from Bandhugaon in Narayanpatna area during a combing operation by security forces, deputy superintendent of police Y Jagannath Rao said.

A hardcore leader of Maoist-backed Chasi Mulia Adivasi Sangh (CMAS), wanted in many cases, was arrested in Orissa's Naxal-infested Koraput district today, police said.
Rama Padhi Puhala was picked up from Bandhugaon in Narayanpatna area during a combing operation by security forces, deputy superintendent of police Y Jagannath Rao said.
Padhi, actively involved in the activities of CMAS, was wanted in around 11 criminal cases including murder in Orissa, he said.
He was also one of the most wanted persons by the police in neighbouring Andhra Pradesh in connection with a number of criminal offences, Rao said.
