The PDP today said Centre's approval of state government's proposal of surrender policy for youths in PoK should be followed by revocation of the Armed Forces Special Powers Act (Afspa) and reduction in troops in Jammu and Kashmir.

"Centre's approval of home coming of youth from across the border should be followed by Centre's approval to other recommendations like revocation of Afspa and reduction in troops to build a congenial atmosphere in the state," party chief Mehbooba Mufti said at Poonch, 250 kms from here.

Chief minister Omar Abdullah had proposed a surrender policy for youth in PoK who want to come to the mainstream renouncing militancy, during CM's meet in New Delhi recently.

On Kashmir issue she said, "Indo-Pak dialogue is again on the track (proposed secretary level talks) and it needed to be complemented with action."

Accusing the state government of mis-governance she said, "It is really a matter of concern that this dispensation is not realising the ground situation. Instead of taking steps to address aspiration of the people the government is adopting oppressive measures to stifle voice of people".
