Congress general secretary, Digvijay Singh said in Indore today that investigations into the killing of former RSS Pracharak, Sunil Joshi should be handed over to a central agency.
Singh told reporters during a talk at the Devi Ahilyabai Airport here that he "suspected the role of some big people behind Joshi's killing."
"The names in connection with the killing which are being taken right now are only those of foot soldiers," he said.
Raising questions over the Madhya Pradesh police's probe with regard to the killing, he said that investigations into the case should be handed over either to the CBI or the NIA.
"Madhya Pradesh police had closed investigations into Joshi's killing," Singh said adding it should be clarified who had given orders for the closure.
Singh said that the credit for getting the investigations into the Sunil Joshi murder case should go to the Rajasthan ATS which had arrested Harshad Solanki in the case.
Joshi, whose name figured in the Ajmer Dargah blast case, was murdered under mysterious conditions in Dewas in December 2007.
