The helicopter carrying Madhya Pradesh chief minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan to a village function lost its way due to a dust haze for nearly 55 minutes, officials said today.

The helicopter carrying Chouhan took off from Shivpuri at 3.15 pm last evening and was supposed to reach Dulara village in 15 minutes. But, it lost its way due to a dust haze in the sky for nearly 55 minutes before landing at the village, they said.

The haze was due to a dust storm in neighbouring Rajasthan, close to Shivpuri.

The chief minister reached the function of Dhamad community about 40 minutes late, officials said. At the mass marriage function, Chouhan referred to the incident in his speech, they added.
