The BJP today said that while the Congress appears confused over the usage of the term "saffron terrorism", their party's stand is very clear that it does not exists.

"Congress is confused over the term 'saffron terrorism'. But we are clear that 'saffron' does not stand for terror. It represents Indian culture and valour," BJP chief spokesperson Ravi Shankar Prasad told reporters in Indore.

He said that Union home minister P Chidambaram's uses this phrase and Congress general secretary Digvijay Singh strongly opposes it. However, he termed Singh's opposition as 'shocking'.

Prasad sought to know from Singh why he went to a village of terrorists in Azamgarh. Does the Congress general secretary has plans to visit Pakistan, which has become a home to the terrorists, he asked.

He expressed concern over Chinese investment in Pakistan-occupied Kashmir.

On Naxalism, Prasad said the outlaws were bothering tribals leaders elected in a democratic manner. Intense and coordinated action is needed against Naxals, he added.
