Tainted former Haryana DGP SPS Rathore, who has been granted bail till February 8 in the Ruchika molestation case and asked not to leave the country, today submitted his passport in a local court.
While granting him bail on his petition challenging his conviction by a special CBI court in the case yesterday, additional district and sessions judge RS Attri had directed Rathore not to leave the country and submit his passport to the court within a week.
Rathore's lawyer wife Abha submitted the passport of her husband on his behalf in the court here. A special CBI court convicted the former Haryana top cop last month of molesting 14-year-old Ruchika Girhotra 19 years ago and sentenced him to six months in prison besides slapping a fine of Rs1000 on him in the case.
