Thakkar left the petrol pump at around 10:30 am and was looted at around 10:45 am near the KK Shastri College.

Senior police inspector, Amraiwadi police station DB Raulji said that primary investigations have revealed that the victim was gheraoed by two people on a bike.

"One person on the bike shot Thakkar in the chest killing him," said Raulji.

Raulji further said that when Thakkar left the petrol pump he was the only person riding his scooty. "But it has come to our notice that when the incident happened Thakkar had a pillion rider with him on his scooty," said Raulji.
