Randev aide Balakrishna resurfaces after HC stay, performs 'yagna'

Hours after the Uttarakhand High Court today stayed his arrest, Ramdev's close aide Balakrishna today resurfaced here after he went missing on Monday.

Soon after he reappeared, Balakrishna performed a yagna (worship) clad in a saffron robe instead of donning white clothes that he usually wears.

He was seen in the company of top seers including the yoga guru while performing the yagna and avoided mediapersons.

Balakrishna had gone "missing" from his Divya Yog Mandir Ashram residence here on July 25, a day after CBI registered a case against him for cheating and criminal conspiracy for procuring fake degree and violation of section 12 of the Indian Passport Act for furnishing fake documents to get a passport.

The high court, earlier in the day, stayed his arrest and asked him to appear before the CBI on August 3.

Meanwhile, Ramdev welcomed the court's stay on the arrest and said his aide would appear before the CBI on August 4.
